Even the smallest details convey the grandeur of the GLS. Three-Pointed Stars, projected on the pavement, welcome your arrival to its luxurious cabin.
LED Intelligent Light System headlamps actively adapt to curving roadways or approaching motorists. From head to tail, and all through the cabin, every GLS lamp uses LED technology.
A giant expanse of tinted glass includes a power-tilt/sliding front panel. A power mesh screen can turn sun into shade, and the roof can even auto-close if it senses rain.
Second-row never means second-class in a GLS. The seats power-adjust, recline, and ease entry into a roomy third row that can power-fold in a 50/50 split.
An elaborate LED network highlights cabin contours and sets the footwells aglow. With 64 colors you can select, pair, and sequence, you can suit your mood, or set a new one.

Renowned for fine home audio, Burmester® has created two surround sound systems for the GLS: with 13 standard speakers and Dolby Atmos®, or a 29-speaker High-End 3D option.
No need to plug in your phone to charge it or enjoy Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto, all standard. USB-C ports abound, too, and you can add wireless charging to the second row.
Standard AIRMATIC® offers multimode damping, adjustable ride height, and 4-wheel level control that can automatically adjust for passengers and cargo.
Radar-based technology can alert you if you’re approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also help detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
Standard camera technology can make parking, reversing, and even off-roading easier, from a virtual birdseye view of your surroundings to a clever “Transparent Hood” display.
Standard DISTRONIC® can adapt your cruising speed to stop-and-go traffic, posted speed limits, and even an upcoming turn in your navigation route. Active Steering Assist is included, too.
Signal for a lane change when cruising, and with that single tap, your GLS can help check for an opening and deftly execute the move on your behalf.
A GLS can start to protect you before a collision occurs. PRE-SAFE® can adjust the front seats and seat belts, close the sunroof, and even prepare your hearing in the seconds before impact.
