The 2021 MotorTrend Car of the Year finalists included the BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe, Hyundai Sonata, Mercedes-Benz CLA, Nissan Sentra, and Porsche Taycan. To be awarded “Car of the Year” by MotorTrend, six key criteria are considered: advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value, and performance of intended function.
MotorTrend’s managing Editor Miguel Cortina said “[The E-Class] It’s the one that makes everyone feel special, the one that delivers the best experience, and the one that stands out from the rest of the segment.
